The Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions before the title's release, to trainers forming firm views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
Given numerous of the Super Forms boasting unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
The Ram – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of both and enjoy a strong ally; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many past Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s official description also states its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems very like a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. It is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the sensors on its ears to detect how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Discarded as a toy, it became consciousness through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. As a Archer personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in hatred and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
