The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca stated on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the squad's vital Premier League match against local opponents Arsenal.

“We lodged an appeal and it was unsuccessful,” manager David Moyes revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about more issues from the event, Moyes remarked: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we moved on swiftly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

3. Wissa Trains with Newcastle for Initial Session since Injury

The club's recent acquisition Yoane Wissa has trained with his new teammates for the first time since suffering a knee problem shortly after his arrival from Brentford in September.

The club's manager Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be available for the team's home match against Brighton on the weekend.
