Performer Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Position Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Covid Feature

Liam Neeson has lent his voice to a new documentary that challenges the safety of immunizations and commends one-time government figure the political figure.

The Film's Provocative Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a bestselling book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for allegations that the illness was caused by a problematic version of the influenza shot.

Her writing partner, a producer, has also written books with controversial figure the Infowars host. The producer wrote online celebrating Neeson's involvement in the project.

An Unequivocal Statement

The team of the actor have released a comment firmly refuting suggestions that he holds anti-vaccine beliefs.

"We all understand that unethical practices might be present within the medical sector, but that cannot be conflated with opposition to vaccines," the response reads. "He never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with Unicef reinforces his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

The statement added that the actor was not involved in crafting the documentary's editorial content and that inquiries about its content are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Key Claims Featured in the Documentary

In the film, the script provided by Neeson includes several strong points:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "science has become deeply politicised."
  • Kennedy is interviewed stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The film also criticizes pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it cites a view that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."

Previous Controversy and Current Disputes

The film further cites a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the subject of a formal apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, Kennedy called on the Centers for Disease Control to revise its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is echoed in the film, despite a recent study from the WHO reiterating no such link has been found.

An Earlier Record of Support

Differing from the film's tone, Neeson has formerly expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.

Two years ago, he called vaccines as "an incredible human success story," stating that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in human history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's script saying, "This is not the finish of our narrative. Rather, it is the dawn of a different phase."
