No professional sports organization sells competitive balance like the NFL: it defines their identity. But through 10 weeks in this campaign, this isn’t a league that is equally balanced among elite teams, poor performers, and average squads. It’s one where the bulk of franchises is simply adequate.

NFC Standings Definition

In the NFC, to some degree, we see clearer definition. The usual contenders, supported by premier quarterback talent, display either significant personnel gaps or have suffered medical setbacks.

To some extent, this represents the NFL's perfect scenario. Yet observing the current division frontrunners within the conference continues to seem unusual. Components of every squad meet championship standards, though not comprehensively. Team Breakdowns

Colts Situation

First, examining Indianapolis, the signal-caller hasn't yet achieved total collapse. But the last two weeks have been worrying. He's reverting to committing turnovers and faltering under duress. They're the teams everyone hopes to avoid, however, both franchises persistently undermine themselves.

Buffalo Analysis

Last week, the Bills were riding high after beating the Chiefs. During Sunday's action they experienced a particularly discouraging setback during the campaign.
